The Return of the Ford Bronco

Following a 20 year hiatus, the Ford Bronco returned to the market in 2021. Key features included removable doors, several drop-top options, and a wide array of off-road features. Drivers were pleased to learn that the Bronco would come back with power in the form of a 310 horsepower engine. Furthermore, drivers could select between two and four-door models of the 2021 Ford Bronco.

Ford’s official announcement unveiling the Bronco’s return caused industry analysts to consider a legitimate rival to the Jeep Wrangler for the first time in decades. Above all else, the 2021 Ford Bronco was hailed as a return to form: a rugged body-on-frame sports utility vehicle with shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive.

The Bronco returned with several iterations. The high-end Bronco Badlands, for example, allows drivers to maximize suspension travel by quickly disconnecting the front stabilizer bar. The Sasquatch Package, meanwhile, provides a number of turn-key off-road driving features. Ford continued to improve the Bronco in 2022, adding a manual transmission option for the Sasquatch Package.
